Robin Riddick: Chapter Three-The Bag. The Bum, and The Beauty
Robin Riddick and his Goggle Headed Men Finally got back on schedule, and
headed to rob Sir Twohy and his escort on the way to the Royal Accountants.
Waiting by the side of the road they heard the Clippity Clop of horse's hooves
approaching; Robin prepared his men.
"Okay Merry Men" Robin whispered. "Spread out." The Merry
Men hid behind bushes and shimmied up trees, all but Friar Imam who was still
searching for a place to hide; finally deciding to dive behind a large Birch
tree.
In front and back of the carriage two guard’s men rode on horseback. What
could only be Sir Twohy and the silhouette of a young woman were riding in the
gold and purple carriage; royal colors. Robin could now hear the rattling of the
gold as the carriage made it's way along the bumpy dirt road.
"Now!" Shouted Robin. Suddenly, the Merry Men jumped down upon the
guards and seized they're horses. Robin came swinging in (Yes on a Vine! In the
forest!) landing on the roof of the carriage; hanging upside down over the side,
he peered in thru the window. The first face he met was that of the young lady.
"Welcome to Sherwood Forest milady." Robin smiled broadly at her quite
taken back by her beauty. He couldn't help but notice how light danced on her
light blonde hair.
"Brute!" Out of the blue the young lady pulled from her side a large
yellow handbag and bashed our hero in the face. A tad dazed and bit confused,
Robin snatched the purse from her grip with one hand, and felt for his nose with
the other.
"This bag feels burdened by the weight of the gold in it madam.” spoke
Robin. “Allow me to lighten your load." Robin poured the gold from the
purse onto the ground, and tossed her purse back into the carriage. Looking down
he also saw a stack of credit cards, a tube of lipstick, and a few
“feminine” items. Robin turned slightly pink.
Thru gritted teeth she spoke; "What do you want."
"That scowl is not very becoming on you milady. Allow me to introduce
myself. I am Robin Riddick, and these my Merry Goggle Headed Men.” The Merry
men turned and bowed.
Robin crooked his head to see who else was riding in the grand carriage. Yes, it
was Sir Twohy. Clutching a bag of gold the size of a small country and keeping
his eyes tightly closed, in the hopes that he would not be seen.
“Not today Sir Twohy.”, Robin lifted the back from the nobleman’s grip and
flung it to one of the Merry Men.
Sir Twohy looked devastated.
“Tell Sheriff Paris that the same will happen to any nobleman or lady.”
Again he gazed at the young woman. “Who passes through Sherwood Forest.”
With that Robin Grasped the young ladies hand, quickly kissed it and did an
acrobatic flip off of the carriage.
Robin and the Merry Men made their way off into the forest.
“Brute!” Shouted the young lady thru the window of the carriage after him.
“Brute!”
